Make your hopes and dreams a reality

By Jude

I chose this week’s song more for the beautiful sweet music than for the lyrics. As always, as I delved into it more deeply, I realised there was so much more to it.

The music evokes the innocence of youth and seems to be full of hopes and dreams, where the world is waiting to be explored.

What are your hopes and dreams?

This week two wonderful people, Mark and Laura, made the decision to close their business just one year after opening. This is a tough decision for them as their business was the start of their dream. I went to see them yesterday and I was touched by their strength of courage during such a difficult time and their sense of acceptance that things will turn out ok for them. As the song says:

“I can dream the rest away. It’s just a little touch of fate, it’ll be ok”

Mark and Laura show the rare quality of being able to make great business decisions with incredible maturity and at the same time hang onto their hopes and dreams, knowing that every day is part of the adventure of life. Whilst they know what they want, they are willing to accept the future, whatever it will be, trusting that they will create their hopes and dreams from whatever happens next.

What happens when you trust in yourself and the future?

Today’s lifestyle is often frenetic, both in the workplace and at home. We can become so caught up in everyday activities that we lose sight of our hopes and dreams and become desensitised to really living the lives we want to lead. The song says:

“I don’t think you’re ever one hundred percent in the room”.

How present are you in your life?

What are you doing to turn your hopes and dreams into a reality?

Henry Ford said: “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right.”

Mark and Laura are two incredible people who can… and will. Are you?

With love,
Jude. x
