Oh that's wonderful Beth.... recognising that we don't all have to be doing the same amount of work at the same time. I love the idea that collaboration truly works when we allow each other the freedom to input as and when it eels right individually. That we give space for individuality within the collective whole. that we all have space to breathe and work to our own rhythm and pace.

Thanks for raising such an important point... one I can easily forget if I'm not careful.

It's very much holding the paradox - being quiet, open to what is 'wanting to emerge' (or going down the U-Curve) and also, being able to take actions (going up the U-Curve).

I like working colloboratively - it's so much fun! I find that it's important to remember the 'give and receiving' - sometimes one person will want to do alot on a project while the other acts more as a sounding board and pointing the way. And then, the roles are reversed.

Hi Gurprriet. Yes, it can be a challenge between wanting to launch full steam ahead into something new and exciting and taking the time to nurture it into something that resonates. I love your idea of moving slowly but deliberately. Animals are so good at this. They take their time before acting appropriately and their survival depends on it. We can learn a lot from watching their patience I think. Thanks for dropping by and for sharing and I wish you every success and happiness with your new role.

Jude

This post resonated so much with me, although the context is different. I too have recently embarked upon a new role which is demanding things from me that I have never done.

I too find myself moving slowly, but deliberately, this is new to me...and I am learning to be sensitive to the change I need to drive, but at the same time being extremely sensitive to the change the systems requires. And the challenge is to find a balance between the two.

I too have realized that the more people I enroll, the more ideas I take on board, the more momentum and ownership I am seeing. And this is all new for me, I am usually a lone ranger kind of worker!
